The Hordes homepage — a lead story with a large image, a secondary column of features, and a sidebar of recent posts.

A publication isa system, nota page.

Hordes covers music, film, fashion, art, design, interviews, business and culture. Articles arrive daily, at every length, with wildly different imagery.

The layout is built to absorb that: a lead slot, a secondary column, a most-discussed rail, and a card that works whether the cover image is a portrait, a runway shot or a screengrab.

Rhythm

Category, date, byline — in the same place, every time.

Every card carries the same three pieces of metadata in the same order. Readers stop reading the labels and start reading the pattern, which is what lets a dense index stay scannable.

A light and dark mode ship together, because a culture publication is read late at night as often as it is read at a desk.

Hordes latest posts and most-discussed sections.
